Being a newish venue our biggest challenge was not getting couples through the door, but allowing them to visualise a what a wedding day would be like at our venue. When it’s not set up for a wedding, it’s a blank canvass so requires couples to use their imagination which is a skill. Horizon Publishing had worked successfully with lots of barn venues which gave us confidence they knew our product.
Looking back I was still nervous that we would have to invest a lot of time into the project but how wrong I was! Sam and the team kept us in the loop throughout the process and we just rubberstamped decisions along the way.
We have a quirky, informal brochure that conveys the right message to our couples and has lots of our local suppliers showcasing their work which saves me time having to go through them with couples.
The virtual tour they also arranged for us is incredible and it’s included in the zero cost model. We send it along with the brochure to all enquiries which in a way is qualifying them before they visit…more time saved!!

"I found the experience flawless"
I was approached by Sam Uttley from Horizon regarding publishing our new wedding brochures. On our first meeting, I was presented with a high gloss copy of another brochure on the same line as ours that had just been created and Sam discussed in detail the process. I have to admit they looked great. These where, A4 high gloss which looked modern, classy and sophisticated at the same time.
We had a couple of meetings to discuss the format and lay-out of the brochure and of course which suppliers we would like to be featured within the brochure.
Sam kept me updated every step of the way with who was on board and the stages of the brochures.
12 weeks down the line our brochures where delivered. I was so excited to see the real thing and as expected our new brochures were perfect, way above expectations and have been produced to an exceptionally high standard.

From the day that we met with Horizon Publishing about producing a brochure for our venue at Hafod Farm we enjoyed an easy, stress free relationship, with all the support we needed.
It seemed like a huge task to compile the photos, text, images, lay out, supplier lists etc, but it was all made so simple by the team at Horizon who managed to do a great job with the information I sent them. We are quite new to the wedding business & so relied on their experience as to what was required, what to include & what to leave out.
We are so thrilled with the online brochure and the hard copy. We feel that the venue is really well portrayed & the image of our unique venue has been honestly represented. "Communication was great"
I would like to thank Sam and his team for creating a fantastic new brochure for our new wedding venue. Initially, we didn’t feel that having a brochure was essential. However, once we were approached by Sam, shown the quality of their previous work and told how easy it would be, we were sold.
As it turned out everything Sam said was true. The whole process was very straightforward and took about 3 months from start to finish, our input was minimal. Basically Sam and his team did all the work!
Communication was great too; we were updated on a daily basis on how the brochure was progressing, how many suppliers were advertising within it and who they were. Now we have the finished article which is very professional and we are delighted. Thank you!
